About Paul Talbot

He is an author, trainer/speaker, simplicity coach, Career Coach, clutter therapist and certified Job Club Facilitator. His enthusiasm, laughter and passion for life is the key to his personality. Since his personal experience with cancer in November 1998, he has again re-evaluated and simplified his life further.

His Background/Experiences include:

Senior Lecturer/Program Director at Central University of England, Birmingham, England; Instructor at Vancouver Community College; Instructor for Continuing Education at Vancouver and New Westminster School Boards, Langara College and West End Community Centre. He also worked as a Private Secretary/Personnel Assistant in London, England and Tripoli, Libya.

Paul owned and operated his own Personnel/Employment Agency for nine years in Vancouver, BC and has worked for many non-profit agencies including; The Vancouver Friends for Life Society (he was Program Director/Facilitator/Counselor) and was co-founder of the HIV First Step Support Group/Program.

As a certified Job Club Facilitator helping unemployed adults, Paul was facilitator/coordinator at Gordon Neighbourhood House and facilitator at the Immigrant Services Society and YMCA.

Paul completed his HIV/AIDS Training at Aidsline, Birmingham, England and has volunteered in this area for many years offering support, counseling and facilitation of groups.

Accomplishments:

He has written and had published several books, newsletters and articles worldwide. He is co-author of the North American book "TEELINE Shorthand", and included in "Positive Power People" published by Royal Publishing, California, USA. He is creator/founder of the CLUTTER series which includes: "Clear the Clutter and Simplify Your Life©", "Clear the Clutter for Seniors©", "How to be a Full/Part time Clutter Organizer©","How to Earn Money as a Speaker©", Simple and Forgotten Things - Voluntary Simplicity©" and "Be A Winner, Steps to Success©".

Paul has appeared on CBCTV, Studio 4 and Plugged In for Shaw TV, BCTV, City Pulse TV as well as heard on CBC Radio, Early Edition and 690 and CKNW with Rafe Mair. He has been featured in the Vancouver Sun, Vancouver Courier, Georgia Straight, Shared Vision, Common Ground, Burnaby Newsleader, Family Circle and March 2003 in Canadian House & Home, The Globe & Mail and B.C. Business Magazine.

He has been keynote speaker for many conferences and in-company presentations including 2002 Fall Conferences for Toastmasters, several public presentations at the Vancouver Public Library, Paths to Healing series and continues to share his skills, knowledge and life-long experiences with others.

His unique style is his sense of humour, caring and support that he gives as well as his "gifted" way of communicating.

He lives and loves life to the full and his passion is helping others reach and fulfill their dreams.
