To Whom It May Concern:

Re:       Reference letter for Paul Talbot

I would like to give recognition to Paul Talbot for his excellent delivery of the Greater Vancouver Regional District's Lunch & Learn program on "Don't Count the Candles...It's Just a Number."

Over 75 people participated in this program that covers information on what to do after retirement, dealing with change, facing your fears, and changing lifestyles. Paul's speaking style is very engaging and fun and he was able to deliver so much information in a short period of time. His humour helped the participants to relax and really think about what they want to do with their time now or when they retire. What I found most interesting was at the end of the session, Paul asked the participants if they have any questions. There was silence but I can tell that they have questions asking themselves what now? Paul was really effective in making the participants reflect on themselves and what they want to do in life, present and future.

Some of the comments we got...

"One hour went very fast. Could have wanted to listen to Paul for longer... I thoroughly enjoyed it, he's a great speaker, the humour was great, which makes one remember it!"

"Very inspirational message! The handouts and booklet will help to further enforce the message..." "Paul is humourous but gets the message across. He gave me a much needed jump start..." "The session applies to everyone, not just retiring people."

I would like to thank Paul for spending some time at the GVRD to give this session. We are considering him again for another session in the near future.

Yours truly,
